Here, I distinguish between ‘the public’ and ‘the private’ to highlight the apparent disjuncture between vocal assertions being made on the international stage and the reduction of services on the regional and local level. I also posit that services for Palestinians are increasingly being ‘privatised’ through their redesignation as activities which are to be led by Palestinian refugees themselves within their homes
